Collage art quilts

I found these on the wall at my daughter's. I made them several years ago.

Soft little collage quilts are then stitched to painted canvas....hand stitched right to the canvas. Easy and fun!

And today, the teenage granddaughter made her bed! Here is a low volume pastel quilt from the book,

"Sunday Morning Quilts".

Quilt for a new grandson!

I finished this and mailed it early in the last week of April! A gender-neutral baby quilt!

On Friday, baby Ben arrived! Here with his proud papa! (Our son, Andrew!)

Another quilt sent earlier is this one....

made by me and quilted by my mother , another gender neutral quilt, as they weren't finding out before the birth!

Flowers for a May Day birthday! The "Lorna Doone" quilt.

This quilt is a birthday gift for our daughter, Laura.

We brought it to Georgia with us, for her birthday!

It is Queen size from a kit ordered from Glorious COLOUR, the website for Kaffe Fassett fabrics.

I have not made a quilt from a kit before, but loved the light bright floral pastel look of this one! Even so, I changed the border and the binding into non-Kaffe fabrics! A pale lime for the border and a very colorful batik for the binding.

I was beautifully quilted by Sonja Koch of Fayetteville on a long arm quilting machine.

I love how she did the swirls, leaves and flowers!
