After the washing, things change!
Before free-motion quilting and washing, the edges of the colored scraps are neat and tidy....
......but not that way after the first washing. The washing makes it pucker up and soften, it mkaes the edges ravel and fray. [ I was compelled to trim off most of the "strings"... It is standard crib size, 45'X60"].

Topsy turvy quilt

Recyled Holiday
I found this doily for 50 cents at a thrift store. it was stained but cleaned up nicely! Last night was time to make something with it...we've been snowed in so using what I had was necessary! I used some small red velveteen pieces, some batting scraps for stuffing and added dried lavendar in the middle of the stuffing. So it is a 9" X 11"
