I found this doily for 50 cents at a thrift store. it was stained but cleaned up nicely! Last night was time to make something with it...we've been snowed in so using what I had was necessary! I used some small red velveteen pieces, some batting scraps for stuffing and added dried lavendar in the middle of the stuffing. So it is a 9" X 11"sachet pillow and is on it's way to one of my Valentines!

What a lucky valentine - it is so pretty. I like that idea of putting a doily on fabric - must do some of those too - maybe some pillows to go on my bed. I see doilies all the time at the thrift shops - though I have to admit, I've not seen a heart shaped one. I also have several that I've crocheted so I have the materials - fortunately I don't have the snow. :-)
